In the third month of 2022, JMC sold a total of 30,001 vehicles, representing a 19.18% decline from a year ago, caused by the respective sales decrease in its light bus and truck sectors by 32.7% and 31.79%.

On the other hand, with 8,972 vehicles sold, JMC’s pickup truck sector saw a 7.76% year-on-year increase in March. Meanwhile, the company sold 3,889 SUVs, increasing 10.17% compared to a year ago.

From January to March, the cumulative sales volume of JMC amounted to 70,157 vehicles, down 14.21% from the same quarter in 2021. However, the cumulative sales volume of its SUV sector achieved a 43.48% year-over-year jump to 13,504 vehicles.

Notably, the newly established joint venture of JMC and Ford, namely, JMC Ford Technology, launched its first vehicle model on March 28th, the Equator Sport. The Equator Sport is a mid-sized SUV priced at RMB139,800 to RMB165,800 ($21,974 to $26,061), completing JMC and Ford’s SUV lineup in China.
