The deal specifies that NaviSystem will build a panorama parking image system function for Alpine China’s onboard computer platform. The said platform will be deployed to certain vehicle models from a joint venture brand that will hit the market from 2024 to 2028.
Founded in December 1994, Alpine China is a subsidiary of the Japanese auto stereo and navigation system supplier, Alps Alpine. The company is responsible for its parent company’s Chinese market-related issues, including the investments, R&D, and sales of auto electronics and parts.
Given Alpine China’s decades-worth of experience in the auto industry, NaviSystem deems the cooperation as a recognition of its technical capabilities, product performance, and service abilities. NaviSystem plans to utilize the opportunity to expand its product lineup and branch out its global business network.
Notably, NaviSystem was originally a joint venture between NavInfo, its current parent company, and Toyota Tsusho Corporation, a subsidiary of the major Japanese auto group, Toyota Group.
