Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Feb. sales soar 154% YoY
Beijing (ZXZC)- In February, Dongfeng Motor Corporation (DFMC) saw its wholly-owned sub-brand, AEOLUS, refresh its same-month sales record, the auto group announced on March 7th.

In the second month of 2022, DFMC sold a total of 240,700 vehicles. During the first two months of this year, the automaker’s cumulative sales volume amounted to 582,400 vehicles, up 16.4% from a year ago.
The passenger vehicle sector of DFMC sold 203,800 vehicles in February. With 39,800 vehicles sold, sales of the group’s wholly-owned brands accounted for 20% of the group’s PV sales in the month.
The group’s AEOLUS brand sold 11,617 vehicles in February, skyrocketing 204% from the earlier year. The cumulative sales volume of the brand summed up to 30,200 vehicles in the past two months of 2022, nearly tripled from the same period last year.
As to DFMC’s jointly owned brands, Dongfeng Nissan’s Venucia brand managed to sell over 10,000 vehicles again in February. For the first two months of 2022, the automaker sold 24,000 Venucia vehicles, soaring 182.9% year over year.
Meanwhile, the group’s other Japanese joint venture, Dongfeng Honda, sold 54,907 vehicles in February, amounting to a cumulative sales volume of 136,800 vehicles in the year, up 15% from a year ago.
Lastly, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën sold 7,633 vehicles in February, surging 154% year on year.
Notably, sales of Dongfeng Motor's high-end EV brand, VOYAH, which usually releases its sales record at the beginning of each month, are not released yet.
