CATL becomes shareholder to state-backed intelligent energy service provider
According to China’s corporate database, Qichacha, the country’s battery mogul, CATL was recently listed as a new shareholder to Shanghai Qiyuan Xindongli Technology Co., Ltd. The latter is a new energy and green traffic service provider funded by China’s state-owned SPIC (State Power Investment Corporation).
CATL sets up new energy material company
CATL recently set up a company dedicated to new energy materials, Fengxin Shidai New Energy Materials Co., Ltd., with an RMB1 billion registered capital. CATL holds 90% of the company’s stake through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Yichun Shidai New Energy Resources Co., Ltd., while Suzhou TA&A Ultra Clean Technology Co., Ltd. owns the rest 10%, according to local corporate database, Qichacha.
BYD Tang EV may be available for sale in March, with 730km range
BYD’s new Tang EV model is said to start presale in March, then officially hit the market in mid-to-late April. The new and improved model is said to allow a maximum range of 730km. According to its declaration photo, the new Tang EV appears more technological, with a sporty vibe.
Yutong Bus Jan. sales drop 36.2% YoY
China’s major bus manufacturer, Yutong Bus, released its January performance report on February 8th. In the first month of 2022, Yutong Bus produced 1,855 vehicles, indicating a 38.64% slide year on year. Meanwhile, the company sold 1,828 vehicles in the same period, declining 36.2% from a year ago.
