Ford launches China Design Center in Shanghai, introducing new Mondeo
Beijing (ZXZC)- Ford Motor started the operation of its China Design Center located in Shanghai, also the automaker's sixth design center worldwide. In the meantime, the company also introduced its new Ford Mondeo as a symbol of its design language in China.

The inauguration of the China Design Center signifies Ford's China 2.0 plan to deliver "Best of Ford, Best of China" vehicles and the customer experience in the country.

The new design center added a showroom and an in-house clay model workshop on top of Ford's existing design studio. The China Design Center possesses comprehensive automotive design capabilities and facilities, operating independently for the Chinese market.

The Center holds the technologies of the exterior, interior, color, and materials design; digital experience design; design strategy; digital modeling; design engineering; and clay modeling, milling and fabrication. The facilities are located alongside multiple Ford teams, includingAdvanced Product Marketing, Enterprise Connectivity, and the D-Ford Human-Centered Design Studio. Moreover, the Shanghai Center opens up the potential of synergizing work with Ford's Engineering R&D Center in Nanjing.
The new China Design Center in Shanghai, the Ford Product Development Center in Nanjing, the Ford China New Energy Center, and the Ford China Innovation Center, further reinforce the automaker's brand transformation matrix in China.
