JAC Group overfulfils 2021 annual sales target with BEV sales soaring 169.12% YoY
Beijing (ZXZC)- China’s auto group, JAC Group, released its December sales performance, with positive monthly and yearly growth in 2021, overfulfilling its annual sales target.

According to the report, JAC Group sold 42,000 vehicles in December, representing a 14.73% increase year on year. The cumulative sales volume of the automaker amounted to 524,000 vehicles in the year 2021, rising 15.63% compared to a year ago.
Previously, JAC Group set an annual sales target of 500,000 vehicles in one of its announcements. Judging from its 2021 performance, the company has outperformed its target.
Specifically, JAC’s commercial vehicle sector sold 16,500 vehicles in December, resulting in a total of 271,800 vehicles sold in the twelve months of 2021. The cumulative sales volume of its multi-functional commercial vehicle saw a near 20% increase year on year.
On the other hand, JAC Group sold 25,600 passenger vehicles (PVs) in December. In 2021, the company sold 252,500 PVs, soaring 62.27% from the previous year. Its SUV sector sold 20,800 vehicles in December, indicating a 62.09% year-on-year jump. The cumulative sales volume of SUVs amounted to 193,800 vehicles in total, more than doubled from a year ago, at 117.55%. Moreover, JAC sold 16,800 battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) in December, surging 130.12% compared to the previous year. In 2021, the company saw a remarkable 169.12% year-on-year increase in its cumulative BEV sales volume.
In addition, JAC saw a 19.49% year-on-year growth in its export volume in December, with 5,800 vehicles sold overseas. In 2021, the company managed to double its export volume from a year ago, with 73,500 vehicles sold outside China.
