DFL, a 50:50 joint venture between Dongfeng Motor Corporation (DFMC) and Nissan Motor, once had five subsidiaries in China, namely, Dongfeng Nissan, Dongfeng Infiniti, Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Nissan, and Dongfeng Motor Parts and Components Group.
From now on, Dongfeng Infiniti will continue as an independent business unit under Dongfeng Nissan. By virtue of Dongfeng Nissan’s advantages in the whole value chain, Dongfeng Infiniti will explore a new mobility business model, improving its market share in the electric, autonomous driving, connected, and ride-sharing fields.
After the merge, Dongfeng Nissan will focus on the high-quality development of its passenger vehicle business, optimizing its organization and cost structure, improving its decision and operation efficiency, providing diverse products and technologies for Chinese consumers.
Moreover, a slew of new products, led by the Infiniti QX60, will be introduced to the Chinese market in 2022.
The Dongfeng Infiniti transformation started on January 1st, 2022.
