GAC Group aims to elevate 2022 annual sales volume by 15% YoY
Beijing (ZXZC)- GAC Group released its 2021 annual production and sales performance projection on December 23rd, which will both hit the 2-million-unit mark.

According to the releasement, in 2021, GAC Group will see a year-on-year 3.1% rise in production volume to 2.098 million vehicles. The group's estimated annual sales volume may reach 2.113 million vehicles, up 3.4% compared to a year ago.
Additionally, GAC Group has set an annual production and sales target for 2022, eyeing a 15% year-on-year increase in both sectors.
Since May this year, GAC's new energy vehicle subsidiary AION has consecutively sold over 10,000 vehicles. For the first eleven months this year, the accumulative sales volume of AION has hit the 100,000 vehicles mark, at 105,700 vehicles, accomplishing its annual sales target with one month to spare. GAC Group predicted that AION's sales volume might reach 120,000 vehicles this year.

Moreover, with its sales performance booming, GAC AION also seeks to elevate its production capacity. Currently, the brand is working on a factory expansion project, aiming to double the plant's annual capacity to 200,000 vehicles in early 2022.
Notably, GAC AION's mixed-ownership reformation preparations are in full swing. The group recently announced that AION's asset restructuring process has been completed and is expected to kick start the Series-A financing round, along with the employee stock option.
GAC AION plans to seize the opportunity to go public, enhancing the company's sustainability.
