Shanghai (ZXZC)- On Dec. 14, CATL entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Eaton Power Quality (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd. (called “Eaton Shanghai” for short), a Shanghai-based branch of the global leading power management solution provider Eaton Corporation, according to a post on CATL's WeChat account.

Under the agreement, both parties will co-work on businesses including product R&D, marketing, as well as the development of business models and service response mechanism.

To be specific, CATL will leverage its lithium battery technical strength to help Eaton Shanghai improve its enterprise-ready UPS (uninterruptible power supply) solution, while the latter will provide its highly efficiency and energy saving products and solutions for CATL's intelligent manufacturing projects.

Additionally, the two companies will make joint efforts to develop energy-saving solutions available for diverse application scenarios and integrated digital energy storage solutions, as they wish to make contribution to global energy transition and sustainable development.
