Beijing (ZXZC)- The premium EV brand of Dongfeng Motor, VOYAH, introduced the brand’s second vehicle model, also the world’s first luxury large-size battery-electric MPV model, at an event last night.

The VOYAH MPV has enriched the brand’s product lineup, given that the other existing model, the VOYAH FREE, is an SUV. The company plans to build its product lineup across SUVs, MPVs, and sedans in the next three years and introduce at least one new model every year.

The VOYAH MPV is considered spacious compared to other models in its class, with dimensions of 5315mm in length, 1980mm in width, 1810mm in height, and 3200mm of wheelbase. The profile of the car inherits the brand’s signature “yacht” design concept.

As a pure-electric vehicle, the MPV is built on Dongfeng Motor’s electric platform ESSA, with a performance approach. The car can run from 0-100km/h in 5.9 seconds, the fastest MPV on the market.

The MPV also adopts a double wishbone suspension in the front and a multi-link suspension in the back, as the world’s first among MPVs.

As an intelligent MPV, the VOYAH MPV is equipped with an infotainment and office system with 5G connectivity, L2+ autonomous functions, and OTA capability. The vehicle has a super-strength rigid body and intelligent fatigue detection system, ensuring maximized safety.

The VOYAH MPV will be showcased at the 2021 Guangzhou Auto Show, starting November 19th.
