Last month, NIO put 81 new battery swap stations into operation across China, 9 stations fewer than that of in September.

During the past seven months, NIO added 400 battery swap stations, representing a rapid growth compared to the former three years when the company only built 200 stations.

As of October, about 40.01% NIO users had lived in the “Swap Station District Houses”, which refer to the residence within a 3-km radium from a NIO battery swap station, up by 11.11 percentage points over the previous month.

Under the “NIO Power 2025” plan, the company expects 90% NIO users to be living less than 3 km away from its battery swap facilities in 2025.

The regional density of NIO's battery swap stations is recording continuous growth as well. According to the startup, the ratio of NIO's vehicles to battery swap stations reached 272 by the end of October, dropped 12.82% compared to September.
