KHAT is an electronically controlled suspension (ECS) developer for passenger vehicles. KHAT was founded by Prof. Guo Konghui, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, in 2007 to provide test equipment and technical services on vehicle dynamics performance.

The company opened its production plant last October. The plant is designed for an annual production capacity of over 150,000 sets of ECS, taking up 8,000 square meters in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province. KHAT holds over 60 patents, mainly in the suspension system territory.

KHAT is the suspension supplier to Dongfeng Motor Group’s Voyah brand. Other clients of the company include FAW Group, SGMW, GAC Group, Changan Motor, Great Wall Motor, Geely Auto, BAIC BJEV, JMEV, Weltmeister Motor, AIWAYS, and Leapmotor.

Xiaomi is actively mapping out its automaking voyage. The company and its capital firms were vigorously investing in many companies in the intelligent vehicle manufacturing field, including autonomous driving solutions companies, lithium-ion battery suppliers, auto-grade chip developers, and intelligent vehicle technology providers.

Sources disclosed last week that Xiaomi EV will be debuting its first vehicle in 2024 and releasing a new model each year in three years. The company is projecting a three-year sales volume of 900,000 vehicles.
