Ma Zhenshan joined FAW-Volkswagen twenty-one years ago as a market researcher and worked his way up to the company’s central China market business division manager in 2013. Three years later, Ma Zhenshan was promoted to vice manager of FAW-VW Sales Company (FAW-VW’s subsidiary), responsible for marketing of the VW brand. From 2020, Ma came up as executive vice manager of FAW-VW Sales Company, executive director of the VW brand, fully responsible for FAW-VW’s VW brands’ marketing and promoting works.

Earlier this year, rumors of Ma Zhenshan’s transfer from FAW-VW to Jaguar Land Rover were leaked. Soon afterward, Ma posted on his social platform that he would be coming back to the FAW Group without revealing specifics. However, with today's announcement, the executive vice president position in CJLR finally welcomed its successor after being empty for more than a half year.

The chairman of Chery Jaguar Land Rover, Liu Yang said, Ma Zhenshan has ample experience in the joint ventured auto company and regional marketing, branding, and operation management. Ma’s addition to the team will push forward the premium Jaguar brand and Land Rover brand’s development in the Chinese market, bringing the authentic, brilliant British experience to more consumers.
