Sokon’s formerly obscure auto brand, SERES, gained massive tractions after announcing a partnership with HUAWEI in March.
In April, the partners debuted their first jointly-developed intelligent EV model, the SF5, at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show. The HUAWEI DriveONE electric drive system powered extended-range EV was once ordered over 3,000 units in only two days after pre-sale.
During the 2021 Chengdu Auto Show, the companies brought forward two new versions of the SERES SF5, which were equipped with HUAWEI’s HiCar OS in addition to other HUAWEI techs. The new versions of the SF5 are displayed in most major cities’ HUAWEI stores in China.
Sources stated that, aside from the SF5, HUAWEI and SERES will collaborate on two more models which will debut in October 2021 and February 2022, respectively.
