Geely Auto achieves 48% of 2021's sales goal as of July
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (Geely Auto) announced on August 6 the new vehicle sales of the Group (collectively referring to Geely Auto and its subsidiaries) reached 729,512 units for the first seven months of 2021, growing 15% from the previous year and fulfilling 48% of the Group's annual sales target of 1.53 million units.

In July, the Group sold 99,275 new vehicles, suffering a 6% drop year-on-year, while posting a 1% decline month-on-month. Of those, 7,794 units were new energy and electrified vehicles (NEEVs), including the Geometry As, the Geometry Cs, the Emgrand EVs, and the Emgrand GSes.
According to Geely Auto's announcement, the domestic market sales of the Group slid 8% over a year earlier to 92,221 units, while the export volume zoomed up 56% to 7,054 units.
As part of efforts to expand the global business deployment, Geely Auto Group on July 26 entered into a strategic partnership with Inchcape Group, a UK-based independent auto retailer, to jointly explore business expansion in Chile.
The Group's sedan, SUV, and MPV sales amounted to 37,829 units, 60,738 units, and 708 respectively in July.
On July 20, Geely Auto launched its newest CMA-based SUV, the Xingyue L, on the Chinese market at an event in Hangzhou City. Pre-orders for the Xingyue L have already surpassed 30,000 since being unveiled to the public earlier in the year. There were 6,059 Xingyue L SUVs sold last month.
The CMA-based SUV Xingyue S, whose all variants come standard with 2.0TD engine, went on sale on July 10.
In July, the sales of Lynk & Co-branded vehicles stood at 18,225 units, up roughly 19% from the year-ago period. During the same period, there were 1,400 vehicles under Lynk & Co brand were exported to European market, resulting in 5,046 units in the year-to-date export volume.
