HOZON Auto currently has three mass-produced models for sale, namely, the NETA N01, the NETA V, and the NETA U Pro, covering small-sized and compact SUV segments. The company saw its 40,000th vehicle roll off the assembly line at the car manufacturing plant in Tongxiang, Zhejiang province on May 10. The automaker is intensifying efforts to construct the car plant in Yichun, Jiangxi province, which is set to start production at the end of this year. By that moment, HOZON Auto will feature a total capacity of 150,000 vehicles per year.

According to Zhang Yong, co-founder and CEO of HOZON Auto, the startup will strive to hit the annual sales of 50,000 vehicles in 2021.

In the first half of the year, the startup formed a strategic partnership with the cybersecurity giant Qihoo 360 to co-build affordable smart EV models priced around 100,000 yuan ($15,470). The cooperation is expected to improve NETA's brand image and further drive the company's sales.
