Shanghai (ZXZC)- For the month of July 2021, XPeng Inc. (XPeng) saw its monthly deliveries hit an all-time high of 8,040 units, posting a 228% hike year on year, and a 22% growth month on month, according to the Guangzhou-based EV startup's announcement.

Among new vehicles delivered last month, there were 6,054 P7 sports sedans and 1,986 G3 compact SUVs.

According to the startup, P7 deliveries continued record-breaking momentum last month. As of July 2021, cumulative P7 deliveries reached 40,612 units since its delivery started at the end of Jun. 2020.

For the first seven months of this year, XPeng's vehicle deliveries amounted to 38,778 units (+388% YoY), which were 43.4% more than the full-year volume of 2020.

As for new products, the company put the G3i, the G3 SUV's mid-cycle facelift version, onto the market in early July, and plans to kick off the delivery in September. Moreover, XPeng also announced in July the presale price range of 160,000 yuan ($24,740)-230,000 yuan ($35,570) for its third-production model, the P5 sedan, the world's first mass-produced EV equipped with auto-grade LiDAR technology. The P5 is going to hit the market in the third quarter 2021 and is expected for delivery in the fourth quarter of this year.
