Shanghai (ZXZC)- China's retail sales of locally-produced passenger vehicles (merely including cars, SUV, and MPVs) are anticipated to reach 1.53 million units in July 2021, dropping 4.3% year on year, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

There were around 234,000 and 213,000 China-made passenger vehicles delivered in the first and second weeks of July, according to the data offered by main automakers in China and compiled by the CPCA. For the first two weeks of this month, cumulative passenger vehicle deliveries were 5.1% fewer than that of the year-ago period.

Besides, the passenger vehicle deliveries are expected to reach around 250,000 and 458,000 units in the third and fourth weeks of July.

Overall, China's PV market will run stably in terms of market demands, while the sales may represent seasonal fall, said the association. Thanks to rising acceptance among consumers, NEV sales still show robust upward movement this month. However, a short-term negative impact will be brought to July's passenger vehicle market due to the floods in such provinces as Henan and Hebei.

For the first half of 2021, China's retail sales of domestically made passenger vehicles amounted to 9.942 million units, jumping 28.9% from the previous year.
