The Hefei-based automaker sold 19,709 passenger vehicles (PVs) in June, representing a 49.65% leap year over year. The robust growth should entirely owe to the 117.9% growth in SUV sales. However, sedan and MPV sales in June fell 69.6% and 5.81% from a year earlier respectively.

The year-to-date PV sales reached 119,434 units, surging 78.81% from the previous year.

With 21,402 vehicles sold, JAC's commercial vehicle (CV) business posted a 24.19% decrease over a year ago last month. The medium-duty bus sales climbed 8.86%, while the other segments all posted downward movement.

Nevertheless, the first-half CV sales still jumped 16.11% to 165,552 units, 75% of which were light-duty trucks.
