First validation prototype of ARCFOX αS HI version comes off line
Shanghai (ZXZC)- The first production line validation prototype of the ARCFOX αS ·HI (Huawei Inside), a ARCFOX-branded premium EV model armed with Huawei's technologies and equipment, went off the assembly line in a Zhenjiang-based plant on May 26, according to ARCFOX.

The ARCFOX αS ·HI is the first vehicle to get Huawei's HI solution for self-driving EVs. According to ARCFOX, the solution endows the model with three LiDAR units, a computing power of up to 400 TOPS and HD map, and is able to accurately perceive information about lanes and traffic signals. Besides, the system can make a car “smarter” by virtue of capabilities of self-learning and fast iteration.
However, according to BAIC BluePark New Energy Technology Co.,Ltd. (BAIC BluePark), ARCFOX’s owner, the self-driving capabilities of the vehicle still require drivers to pay attention to most cases, in case that the driver need to intervene.
Besides, the ARCFOX αS ·HI is also the first vehicle to carry Harmony Operating System built-in intelligent cockpit, which makes the car connected with multiple terminal devices.
The plant, where the significant prototype was produced, is a premium car manufacturing base jointly built by BAIC BluePark and the Canadian auto parts supplier Magna.
Huawei issued a statement on May 24 to reiterate that it will not build cars, saying “this long-term strategy has been clear in 2018, and nothing has changed.”
According to the statement, Huawei has chosen BAIC BJEV, Changan Auto, and GAC Group as its strategic partners, supporting them in developing their own sub-brands. The vehicles armed with Huawei's autonomous driving solution are allowed to bear the “HI” logo after being authorized by Huawei.
