Shanghai (ZXZC)- As of April 22, SERES, the EV unit of Chongqing Sokon Industry Group (Sokon), has received over 3,000 orders for the SERES "Huawei Smart Selection" SF5, a REEV (range-extended electric vehicle) model using many Huawei's technologies, only two days after the presale kicked off.

At the Auto Shanghai 2021, Sokon and Huawei forged a partnership to carry out cooperation on automotive technologies, products and sales channels, and revealed the SERES "Huawei Smart Selection" SF5, which will be available in Huawei flagship stores across China.
"This exciting announcement sets a precedent for both the consumer electronics industry and the new energy vehicle industry,” commented Richard Yu, Executive Director, CEO of the Consumer Business Group, Huawei. “In the future, we will not only provide leading smart car solutions to help partners build better intelligent vehicles, but also help them sell those vehicles through our retail network across China."
Equipped with HUAWEI DriveONE Three-in-One Electric Drive, the new range-extended SUV offers flexibility for users, with a NEDC-rated range of 180 km in pure electric mode to meet the needs of daily city commuters, and a combined range of over 1,000 km in extended range mode for long distance travelers.
Moreover, the model is powered by HUAWEI HiCar solutions that enable users to seamlessly switch between their mobile phone applications and the car-mounted central control panel. The system can also connect the car to some home appliances like air conditioner, electric curtain and lighting.
The new SF5 comes with two variants, including a single-motor option priced at 216,800 yuan ($33,380) and a dual-motor one retailing at 246,800 yuan ($38,000). Starting from April 21, consumers can visit the REEV model at Huawei's flagship stores in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Hangzhou first, and decide whether they want to place orders after having test drives.
