Made-in-China Model 3

Founded on Dec. 15, the Harbin-based sales company involves a registered capital of 1 million yuan ($152,776,700) and is wholly controlled by Tesla Motors HK Limited. Xiaotong Zhu, head of Tesla China, serves as its legal representative and chairman.

Tianyancha's records show that the newly-registered company's business scope extends to cover the sale of complete vehicles, the dealership of used cars, and the wholesale and retail of auto parts, solar chargers, charging piles, battery management system and other facilities.

The foundation of the Harbin company came after Tesla established a similar sales branch in Hefei last month. Besides, the EV maker has built sales service subsidiaries in such cities in China as Beijing, Wenzhou, Wuhan, Ningbo, Tianjin, Qingdao, Guangzhou, Zhengzhou, Suzhou, Shenzhen, Dalian, Shanghai and Kunming.

For the first eleven months of 2020, Tesla delivered roughly 113,655 locally-produced Model 3s in the world's largest auto market, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). The year-to-date performance indicates the Model 3 is in all likelihood honored China’s best-selling NEV model of the year.
