Last month, Nissan China's PV business unit attained a 4.6% year-on-year growth by selling 124,197 vehicles. Dongfeng Nissan's sales grew 7.4% from a year ago to 116,072 units, its highest-ever figure in terms of Oct. sales volume.

Both sedan and SUV sales sustained growth for Dongfeng Nissan. In Oct., the sales of the seven-generation Altima, the Sylphy and the Tiida reached 10,548 units (+4.1% YoY), 54,620 units (+28.3% YoY) and 6,706 units (+4.1% MoM) respectively. Notably, the Sylphy's sales hit a record high level regarding Oct. volume.

The joint venture saw the Oct. sales of Nissan-branded SUVs jumped 17.4% month on month to 41,521 units, including 2,192 Muranos (+34% MoM), 16,209 X-Trails (+6.9% MoM), 18,502 Qashqais (+19% MoM), 2,782 Kicks (+44.2% MoM) and 1,836 Terras (+71.4% MoM).

As part of PV business, Dongfeng Venucia had a sales volume of 8,125 units last month. The Venucia Star, the Venucia D60 and the Venucia T60 together accounted for 88% of the brand's Oct. sales with 2,605 units, 2,881 units and 1,691 units delivered respectively.

Light-duty commercial vehicle sales leapt 17% over the year-ago period to 19,331 units in October. The rising movement should be credited to the double-digit growth achieved by both Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd. (+18.1%) and Zhengzhou Nissan (+13.2%).
