Changan Ford’s Retail Sales Jumped 10.2% Month-on-Month, with Explorer, Edge as Highlights
Changan Ford Motor Co. Ltd., today announced its August retail sales to have increased 10.2% month-on-month at 16,623 units. The retail sales number, which was higher than the whole sale number of 15,416, reaffirmed Changan Ford’s on-demand production strategy and not to burden dealers with excessive inventories. The sales data only include August retail sales under the Changan Ford brand. It does not include the Lincoln brand and export sales.
In 2020, Changan Ford launched Escape Smart Edition and the all-new 6th generation Explorer. The Smart Edition, as an differentiated entry, further expanded the Escape’s outreach. The 170k-model made a competitive entry-level product appealing to young customers for its smart technologies and performance. The Explorer, at 400k price points, brings an experience matching luxury vehicles at 700k price points. After launch, the model has seen steadily rising performance with 2,544 vehicles sold in August, a month-on-month rise of 30%. 5,403 vehicles have been delivered in total, and the order number has reached 9,147.
While July and August are typically weak months for the automotive industry, Changan Ford still managed a steady sales growth. That would not be possible with the company’s well-planned, efficient operations, and deep and accurate understanding of the market. Changan Ford will continue to strengthen and expand its portfolio based on Chinese customers’ needs and continue to bring products of exceptional value.
The September has arrived, and let’s look forward to more news ahead!
