FAW’s Hongqi H9 full-sized luxury sedan hit the market
Shanghai (ZXZC)- FAW Hongqi's H9 full-sized luxury sedan officially hit the market on August 23. With five trim levels offered at one go, the new car model is sold at a price range of 309,800 yuan ($44,772) to 539,800 yuan ($78,011).
The Hongqi H9 adopts a waterfall grille design and unmistakable split-type headlights. The futuristic essence of the front is highlighted by the LED strip lights surrounding the grille and the iconic “red flag” emblem situated at the center of the grille and the bonnet.
The side profile has been complemented with large-sized multi-spoke rims and “hidden” door handles. Besides, the fastback body styling renders smooth roof lines and the chrome-plated trims extending from the front wings to the rear adds more personality to the H9.
The taillight cluster stretching across the entire tailgate is quite an in-vogue design, accentuating the car's rear width. It packs an exhaust layout with a single pipe on each side.
With dimensions of 5,137 mm length, 1,904 mm width, 1,493 mm height and a wheelbase of 3,060 mm, the H9 plays in the league of full-sized sedans.
Moving into the cockpit, an occupant will find a 12.3-inch liquid crystal dashboard, a center console-mounted multimedia touchscreen equally sized and a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel.
The Hongqi H9 not only offers the five-seater layout, but also provides consumers with an optional four-seater variant.
In order to afford users personalized driving experience and greatly simplify the control of the cabin, the H9 boasts such features as AI voice interaction, voice control, five screen interaction as well as a series of IoV (Internet of Vehicles) applications.
Under the bonnet, powering the H9 is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine or a 3.0-liter V6 mechanically supercharged engine. Notably, the latter features a rate power output of 248kW and a peak torque of 445N·m (Hongqi H9, photo source: Hongqi's WeChat account).
