Shanghai (ZXZC)- Recent news reveals that the full-sized SUV to be produced by SAIC-Audi is likely to be the Q8. The new model will be built at the plant in Ningbo on the same line as the VW-branded Teramont and the newly-launched Viloran, with an annual production of 75,000 units.

This new SUV will be based on the MLB platform with two power options available，2.0T four-cylinder and 3.0T six-cylinder. We may expect the localized product to be lower priced and the launch date won't be earlier than 2022.

It is said that SAIC Volkswagen Audi now has four models in its plan: A + SUVe, A7L, mid-sized SUV and mid-full sized SUV. The first model, A + SUVe, will enter the stage of confirmation by the end of this year.
