Shanghai (ZXZC)- Recently, Chinese eVTOL aircraft developer AEROFUGIA and the Second Research Institute of Civil Aviation Administration of China ("CAACSRI") signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Chengdu city, marking a significant collaboration in the development of new energy aircraft, according to a press release AEROFUGIA issued on October 22.

The partnership will focus on areas such as R&D, safety testing, scientific research, talent cultivation, and academic exchanges, with the shared goal of promoting high-quality civil aviation growth in China.

By leveraging their expertise in technical R&D and industry collaboration, AEROFUGIA and CAACSRI aim to advance the design, operational management, and standard-setting for the next generation of new energy aircraft. Together, they plan to foster the standardization and regulation of the eVTOL sector in China.

CAACSRI, under the leadership of the Civil Aviation Administration of China ("CAAC"), is China's oldest and most comprehensive civil aviation research institution. It is known for its extensive experience in developing cutting-edge civil aviation technologies, covering the entire chain of academic and industrial applications.

AEROFUGIA, a subsidiary of Geely Technology Group, specializes in vertical take-off and landing aircraft powered by new energy and intelligent driving systems. It is also the first company in the country to have its manned eVTOL project formally accepted for airworthiness certification by the CAAC.
