The B10 will target the RMB 100,000 ($14,110) to RMB 150,000 price range in China and will go on sale globally next year.

Leapmotor has unveiled its new SUV (sport utility vehicle) model B10 to further expand its product matrix.

The Stellantis NV (NYSE: STLA)-backed Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker debuted the B10, a compact SUV that is the first globalized model on its new B platform, today at the Paris auto show.

Utilizing Leapmotor's latest Leap 3.5 technology architecture, the B10 is focused on delivering smart NEV products to young people around the world, according to the company.

The model will target the market with a price range of RMB 100,000 ($14,110) to RMB 150,000 and will go on global sale next year.

The B-series has two other global models that will go on sale next year, according to Leapmotor's founder, chairman and CEO Zhu Jiangming.

The B10 is a compact SUV about the size of a BMW X1 and will compete with models including the Aito M5 and Nio (NYSE: NIO) Onvo L60, Leapmotor said last month.

Founded in 2015, Leapmotor is one of China's first new car-making forces and is expanding overseas in partnership with Stellantis, Europe's second-largest carmaker by sales.

Leapmotor currently sells the T03, C01, C10, C11, and C16 in China, with all but the T03 offered in both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants.

On September 24, Leapmotor International, a joint venture between Stellantis and Leapmotor, launched the C10 and T03 in 13 European countries.

Leveraging Stellantis' distribution channel, Leapmotor International plans to increase its global sales outlets to 350 by the fourth quarter of 2024, including more than 200 in Europe, Leapmotor said at the time.

Leapmotor delivered 33,767 vehicles in September, marking the second consecutive month of more than 30,000 units and the fourth consecutive record month.

That's up 113.72 percent from 15,800 a year ago and up 11.42 percent from 30,305 in August.
