Greater Bay Technology supplies power batteries to GAC Hino’s fuel cell logistics trucks
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Recently, Greater Bay Technology ("GBT") secured a significant designated contract with GAC Hino Motors Co., Ltd. to supply power batteries for GAC Hino's 18-tonne hydrogen fuel cell box logistics trucks, according to a post on GBT's WeChat account. The integration of these batteries into the vehicles has been completed.

The logistics trucks are equipped with GBT's "ultra-fast charging battery specifically designed for fuel cell vehicles (FCVs)". The company said this innovative battery is a pivotal step in GBT's mission to advance the electrification of commercial vehicles.
Fuel cells represent a crucial technological pathway for the new energy vehicle transition in trucks. The combination of ultra-fast charging batteries with fuel cell systems provides an ideal solution for long-haul, heavy-load, and low-temperature transportation. GBT's FCV-specific ultra-fast charging battery is engineered specifically for commercial vehicle fuel cell systems, delivering consistent and powerful energy replenishment. It features high-rate charge and discharge capabilities, rated at 4C and peaking at 8-10C, setting a new industry standard.
In addition to ensuring system stability, GBT said its ultra-fast charging battery also excels in low-temperature performance, capable of 2C discharge at -20°C. Furthermore, GBT's self-developed battery management system offers precise control, effectively mitigating issues related to inaccurate SOC (state of charge) measurements.
Founded in September 2020, GBT is a private-held high-tech private enterprise with mixed-ownership, internally incubated by GAC Group. It is jointly funded by GAC Group, GAC Capital and a partnership firm set by former Advanced Technology Team from GAC R&D Center and relevant third parties. GBT focuses on R&D, production, and services of eXtreme FastCharging (XFC) battery, a new generation of breakthrough energy storage and its system.
