Pre-orders have already begun with an estimated price range of 170,000 – 180,000 yuan (24,000 – 25,500 USD). The launch of the 2025 Geely Monjaro L is set for October 23.

More on the Geely Monjaro L

New grille and badge design

The new Monjaro adopts an outward-protruding vertical bar grille with Geely’s updated silver emblem. The overall shape of the LED headlights and the lower bumper’s air intake grille remain largely unchanged. It also comes with new 20-inch multi-spoke wheels. It is not confirmed if the latest model will be sold as a new variant or replace the existing one, but it is likely the latter.

The Geely Monjaro will be offered in two configurations, both powered by a high-output 2.0TD engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission. One version is the two-wheel “Lanxing” version and the other is the four-wheel drive “Wangyue” version. Additionally, a new “Stone Green” paint color, similar to the one found on the Geely Preface (called the Xingrui in China).

The 2025 model will continue to offer a three-screen display system including a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a central control display, and a passenger entertainment screen. Top-end models also include an AR heads-up display. Further adjustments are yet to be revealed.

Powertrain

The current Geely Monjaro is equipped with a 2.0TD four-cylinder engine. The EVO version of the engine produces 160 kW and 325 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The high-output version delivers 175 kW and 350 Nm of torque, coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The top-of-the-line version also offers an adaptive all-wheel-drive system.

2024 Geely Monjaro

The Geely Monjaro is positioned as a compact SUV. In the last six months, it has accumulated sales of 90,646 units, ranking a respectable 6th in the domestic compact SUV segment. The model competes against similarly priced gasoline-powered SUVs like the Honda CR-V and Toyota Rav4, as well as plug-in hybrids such as the BYD Song Plus DM and Song Pro DM.
