Since its launch in 2011, the Haval H6’s cumulative sales volume has exceeded 4 million units. On September 8, Great Wall Motor announced the addition of the Classic Edition to its Haval H6 series, which is scheduled to enter the market on September 10.

Judging from the official image, the Haval H6 Classic Edition continues the design style of the third-generation Haval H6. This is interesting as the recently launched Haval H6 fourth-generation underwent a re-design. Notable design elements of the Classic Edition include a front polygonal grille decorated with a silver mesh structure, traditional pull-out door handles, roof racks, an openable sunroof, 18-inch five-spoke aluminum alloy rims (225/60 R18 tires), and through-type taillights. For reference, the third-generation Haval H6 has an official price range of 115,900 – 149,800 yuan (16,400 – 21,100 USD).

At this time, the body dimensions have not yet been officially revealed. For reference, the length, width, and height of the third-generation Haval H6 on sale are 4653/1886/1730 mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2738 mm.

Coming to the interior, the layout of the Haval H6 Classic Edition is similar to that of the third-generation model, equipped with a 10.25-inch floating LCD instrument panel, a 12.3-inch floating central control screen, and a rotary gear selector & a wireless charging panel on the center console. The three-spoke steering wheel is also the same style as that of the third-generation model.

In addition, the seats are covered with leather materials. Other configurations include an electrically adjustable driver seat, front seat heating, rear air-conditioning vents, rear USB ports, OTA updates, mobile phone control, and voice recognition control.

According to the exposed information, the Haval H6 Classic Edition is expected to be equipped with a 1.5T engine (model GW4B15L) with a maximum power of 135 kW (181 hp) and a peak torque of 275 Nm, mated to a 7-speed DCT, which is the same as that of the third-generation Haval H6 1.5T variant. The top speed is 190 km/h and the WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption per 100 km is 7.13 L. At this time, it is unknown whether the 2.0T variant will be provided for consumers to choose from. The final vehicle power and configurations are subject to Haval’s official announcement.

Furthermore, a dealer in China indicated that the Haval H6 Classic Edition has already arrived at the store and only one trim will be offered. Moreover, compared with the third-generation Haval H6, the Classic Edition has removed the head-up display, emergency lane keep assist, lane change assist, reversing warning, and door opening warning.
