Leapmotor C16 nabs over 10,000-unit fixed orders in first month on market
Beijing (ZXZC)- On July 22, Chinese new energy vehicle maker Leapmotor announced that its new mid-to-large six-seater SUV, the Leapmotor C16, accumulated fixed-orders of over 10,000 units in its first month of release.

The Leapmotor C16 officially hit the market on June 28, offering both battery-electric (BEV) and extended-range electric (REEV) powertrains, with prices ranging from 155,800 yuan to 185,800 yuan. Within 48 hours of its release, the model secured 5,208 units of orders.
The Leapmotor C16 measures 4,915mm in length, 1,905mm in width, and 1,770mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,825mm.
In terms of power performance, the C16 BEV features an 800V silicon carbide fast-charging platform, with a maximum charging power of 180kW, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% of its capacity in just 15 minutes. The C16 REEV offers a battery-powered range of 200km (CLTC) and a combined range of 1,095km (CLTC), equipped with a new-generation high-efficiency range extender, achieving a low fuel consumption of 5.4L per 100km (CLTC) during extended-range driving.
The C16 is equipped with advanced driving assistance technologies, including LiDAR, NVIDIA Orin-X chips, and 30 high-performance sensing hardware components, including 8-megapixel HD cameras. These features, combined with Leapmotor's proprietary algorithms and control strategies, provide a computing power of 284 TOPS, enabling precise 3D perception. The vehicle supports NAC navigation assistance in urban areas and NAP intelligent navigation on expressways.
