Geely sold 1.68 million vehicles in 2023, up 18%
In 2023, Geely sold 1,686,516 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 18%, exceeding the automaker’s original annual sales target of 1.65 million vehicles. In particular, 487,461 new energy vehicles (NEVs) were sold, a year-on-year increase of 48%, which is close to one-third of Geely’s annual sales, and achieving positive year-on-year growth for 11 consecutive months. In 2024, Geely set a sales target of 1.9 million vehicles and an NEV sales growth rate of 66%.
Broken down into brands, the Geely brand’s cumulative sales in 2023 were 1,309,580 vehicles, a 16% year-on-year increase. Among them, the Geely Galaxy series (L7 PHEV SUV & L6 PHEV sedan) has sold a total of 83,497 vehicles in the seven months after its launch while the Geely Geometry series has a cumulative sales volume of 191,346 units in 2023, a 28% year-on-year increase.
The Lynk & Co brand sold 220,250 vehicles annually, a year-on-year increase of 22%, including 25,695 units sold in December, a year-on-year increase of 17%. As of the end of December, Lynk & Co has opened 11 stores in six European countries.
Zeekr’s cumulative delivery volume in 2023 was 118,685 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 65%, including 13,476 units delivered in December, a year-on-year increase of 18.9%. As of the end of December, the cumulative delivery volume of Zeekr has exceeded 190,000 vehicles. So far, Zeekr has built a total of 432 charging stations; that number is expected to reach 1,000 in 2024, and 10,000 by 2026.
Livan, the brand known for battery swap, sold 3,900 vehicles in December, bringing the annual cumulative sales to 38,001 vehicles. In 2023, Livan launched the Livan 7 SUV and established a standard flagship store in Azerbaijan.
Furthermore, Geely exported 274,101 vehicles overseas, a 38% year-on-year increase, including 21,347 vehicles exported in December, a year-on-year increase of 9%. At the same time, Geely has deployed in the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Africa, Latin America, and Pan-Europe, with 532 sales & service outlets in 70 countries and 10 products launched in 43 countries. It also established its fourth subsidiary in the Mexican market to further penetrate the Latin American market.
