This is the new Changan Ford Edge L. Seven models were launched for pre-sale in China with a price range of 229,800 – 319,800 RMB (33,000 – 46,400 USD), including three ICE models and four hybrid models. Only the entry-level 2.0T ICE model is a 5-seater, the other models are all 7-seater. The carmaker revealed that the ICE models are expected to launch in April while the hybrid models are expected to launch in July.

The front face comes with a chrome-plated dot-matrix grille that is integrated with LED headlights. The internal structure of the grille adopts a black/silver color scheme.

The entry-level model runs on 255/60 R19 wheels while the high-end model runs on 255/55 R20 wheels and the ST-Line model runs on 255/50 R21-inch aluminum alloy wheels.

The “EDGE” logo is implanted in the middle of the taillight group. The rear bottom adopts a three-layer shape and a hidden exhaust layout.

The interior has a long one-piece 27-inch floating large screen that extends from the driver to the co-pilot. The bottom of the large screen is a small platform with an air-conditioning outlet embellished with gold trims. Interior configurations are realized through Ford’s SYNC Technology system, which supports a 4G network, OTA updates, voice-activated app control, and Bluetooth-enabled phone connection. In terms of safety, a level 2 assistance driving system is available.

The ICE version is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine modeled as CAF484WQC4, with a maximum power of 185 kW and a peak torque of 378 Nm, mated to an 8-speed AT gearbox, and has a WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption of 8.44L/100km. The 2.0T engine outputs 202 kW and 405 Nm while the motor outputs 140 kW and 320 Nm, mated to an E-CVT. The carmaker also claims that the hybrid version has a 0 to 100 acceleration time of 7.1 seconds, a WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption of 6.3L/100km, and that a full tank of fuel can last up to 1188 km.
