XPENG AEROHT, Hechi city join hands to promote testing, applications of flying cars
Shanghai (ZXZC)- On July 25, XPENG AEROHT, a flying car (eVTOL) company affiliated to XPENG, and the government of Hechi City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly promote key aspects of flying car development, including testing, application, and support services, according to a post on XPENG AEROHT's WeChat account.

This collaboration will establish a low-altitude economy demonstration site in Hechi, aiming to create a development hub for the southwestern region of China and extend its influence to ASEAN countries.
During the signing event, Hechi City also released the "Hechi City High-Quality Development Plan for the Low-Altitude Economy (2024-2026)." The plan emphasizes leveraging mountain scenario applications and innovation, focusing on low-altitude sightseeing tourism and test flights. It aims to comprehensively advance low-altitude infrastructure, equipment manufacturing, and modern services, fostering new technologies, models, and business forms in the low-altitude sector to promote high-quality regional economic development.

Previously, XPENG AEROHT's XPENG X2 flying car has conducted trial flights in various scenarios in Hechi, actively expanding its flying car experience network.
To date, XPENG AEROHT has successfully signed nearly 60 flying car experience camps, covering a range of scenarios including flying camps, scenic spots, cultural tourism towns, and urban areas. These experience camps will feature take-off and landing platforms for flying cars, along with comprehensive flight experience and operational support services. Through collaborations with local governments, cultural tourism authorities, and flying sites, XPENG AEROHT is constructing a nationwide flight experience network to provide future flying car users with a safe, compliant, and enjoyable flying space.
