Last year, Geely Auto Group sold a total of 1,361,560 new vehicles (including the sales volume of Lynk & Co-branded vehicles), not only surpassing its annual target, but topping the other China's self-owned PV makers for three successive years.

Volvo Cars saw its full-year sales grow 9.84% year on year to 705,452 units, for the sixth year in a row achieving record-breaking annual figure. It is worth nothing that the automaker’s Europe, Asia-Pacific and America markets all obtained year-on-year growth.

Proton's annual sales soared 55.7% over a year ago to 100,821 units, which for the first time topped 100,000 units since 2015. Thanks to the robust sales growth, Proton regained the runner-up place in Malaysian auto market after three years.

Moreover, Lotus Cars launched in 2019 the world's first pure electric British hypercar, Evijia, which is also the brand's first new product after joining Geely Holding.

Yuan Cheng Auto posted a 12.45% growth compared to its 2018 sales. In late April 2019, the commercial vehicle brand held by Geely New Energy Commercial Group (GCV) announced the launch and sale of the globe's first M100 methanol fuel heavy truck produced at GCV's Nanchong Plant.

In addition, London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC), another subsidiary of GCV, saw its sales zoom up 97.09%. The TX5 all-electric taxi has been sold to countries like France, Germany and Norway.

The group said it has so far pumped over RMB100 billion in R&D businesses during the past decade. A global R&D network under construction has already had five engineering and five design R&D hubs, and around 20,000 professional staff members.
