Shanghai (ZXZC)- On the evening of July 23, GAC AION officially put its fire new compact SUV, the second-generation AION V, onto the market.

This new model comes in seven different trim levels, with prices ranging from 129,800 yuan to 189,800 yuan.

The second-generation AION V is built on the AEP platform dedicated to battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and features a brand-new design concept, with significant advancements in intelligent driving technology.

The overall styling of the second-generation AION V is inspired by the classic totem of life force—the Tyrannosaurus. The new vehicle employs the "Ren Ying Shi Neng" (translating to “Blade Shadow Kinetic Energy") design language, characterized by bold lines and rectangular elements, complemented by "Cyber Dragon Claw" accents that enhance its distinctive look. The front of the car features narrow, rectangular air intakes that further emphasize its sporty appearance.

From the side, the second-generation AION V boasts slightly raised fender lines at both the front and rear, paired with dark-colored protective panels and newly designed wheels that accentuate its muscular look. The model also features hidden door handles and a two-tone roof design, enhancing its modern and stylish appeal.

The second-generation AION V measures 4,605mm in length, 1,854mm (or 1876mm) in width, and 1,660mm (or 1,686mm) in height, with a wheelbase of 2,775mm. It offers three tire specifications: 215/55 R18, 225/45 R19, and 225/45 ZR19.

At the rear, the second-generation AION V sports vertically arranged taillights, a large spoiler, and a central AION logo, all of which contribute to its high recognition factor.

Inside, the second-generation AION V features a dual-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a slim full-LCD instrument panel, and a large floating central control screen, showcasing a strong sense of technology. The driver and front passenger seats are equipped with an eight-point massage function, comprehensive lumbar support, three intensity levels, and five modes, significantly enhancing comfort. Additional features include a car refrigerator with an independent compressor (capable of cooling and heating between -15°C and 50°C), 7kW V2L (vehicle-to-load) function, nine speakers, electric sunshades, and a voice-activated AI assistant.

The new model offers two drive motor options with maximum power outputs of 150 kW and 165 kW, respectively. It comes standard with a Magazine 2.0 LFP battery pack across its entire lineup, capable of a range of up to 750km. Thanks to the 400V plus 3C fast-charging technologies, it can be fueled with 370 km of range in just 15 minutes.

Regarding advanced intelligent driving hardware, the second-generation AION V comes equipped with Orin-X chips, high-thread LiDAR, five millimeter-wave radars, and eleven visual cameras, ensuring a high level of driving intelligence and safety.
