SAIC recently announced its full-size Maxus SUV called ‘Lingdi’ (领地) will launch on November 21 in China, competing against Tank 500 and the BAIC BJ60.

As a large SUV, the size of the Maxus Lingdi is 5046(5214)/2016/1876mm with a 2950mm wheelbase. The car runs on multi-spoke wheels along with wide wheel arches and a lot of plastic trim all around the body. Its ground clearance is also remarkable.

The front has a large polygonal grille, sharp slender running lights, and high beams in the front bumper.

The rear adopts a thick LED taillight unit, two exhaust pipes on both sides, a roof spoiler, and a towing hook.

The interior adopts a symmetrical T-shape layout with a floating central control screen at the center, a three-spoke steering wheel, two cup holders in the center console, two wireless phone charging pads, and a panoramic sunroof.

In terms of safety, the Maxus Lingdi supports a level 2 driving assistance system that includes lane keeping, blind spot monitoring, emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.

Customers can choose from 5, 6, or 7-seat layouts. The seats also support functions such as massaging and heating.

The Maxus Lingdi is powered by a 2.0T turbocharged diesel engine for 218 hp (160 kW) and a 48V hybrid system, mated to an 8AT.

We will keep an eye on it, so stay tuned!
