Shanghai (ZXZC)- On June 8, ZEEKR, the premium electric vehicle maker under Geely Holding, announced that it had officially signed cooperation agreements to enter the Indonesian and Malaysian markets. These agreements were signed in Jakarta with PT Premium Auto Prima and in Kuala Lumpur with Sentinel Automotive Sdn. Bhd.

ZEEKR highlighted that Indonesia, known as the "Land of Thousand Islands," boasts vast territory and a large population, making it the largest country in ASEAN and a leading global economy. The first ZEEKR store in Indonesia will be located in Jakarta, with additional stores in Surabaya, Bandung, and other major cities under construction. Malaysia, situated at the heart of Southeast Asia, serves as a hub linking ASEAN markets with the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand. The first ZEEKR store in Malaysia will be in Kuala Lumpur, with stores in key cities like Selangor and Penang also scheduled to open within this year.

ZEEKR stated that Southeast Asia, with its population of 700 million, has become a new battleground for car manufacturers amid the rapid transformation of the global automotive industry.
