Shanghai (ZXZC)- On June 7, GAC Energy Technology Co., Ltd. ("GAC Energy") and Wuhan NIO Energy Co., Ltd. ("NIO Energy") officially established a partnership for the interconnection of their electric vehicle (EV) charging networks.

According to the cooperation agreement, both parties will set up dynamic data sharing between their EV charging platforms to achieve mutual interconnectivity of their charging facilities.

The new collaboration marks the first implemented project following the strategic cooperation agreement on EV charging and battery swapping signed between GAC Group and NIO on May 8. It aims to provide both user groups with fast, widespread, and conveniently located smart energy replenishment services.

Starting from June 7, NIO users can locate and use GAC Energy and Hyper’s charging services through the NIO App, mini-program, in-car charging map, and the Add Power App. At the same time, NIO’s charging stations will also be available to GAC Group’s users.

Since 2023, GAC Energy has built over a thousand 1,000V high-voltage supercharging locations, with charging rates exceeding 120kW. It has pioneered the in-house R&D and mass production of the H640 flash charging piles, achieving a single-gun charging current of 800A and a charging power of 640kW. This year, GAC Energy will advance the "Ten Thousand Piles Plan," aiming to construct 10,000 1,000V high-voltage supercharging points within the year, and surpass one million users of home charging piles.
