SAIC MAXUS’s 2019 sales grow over 40% YoY
Shanghai (ZXZC)- SAIC MAXUS’s 2019 annual sales jumped 42.85% from the year-ago period to 120,017 units. Of that, the domestic sales, growing year on year for twelve consecutive months last year, totaled 98,382 units (+45.27% YoY), while the overseas sales rose 32.77% to 21,635 units. By 2019, the young pioneer brand has always maintained a compound annual growth of 60% since its establishment nine years ago.
As to its LVs (light vehicles), the combined annual sales of MAXUS V80, V80 PLUS and V90 reached 32,488 units, up by 6.53% over the prior-year period. In this segment, MAXUS’s market share from January to November is expected to exceed 19.7%.
24,238 units of medium and large sized MPV, the G10 PLUS and the G20, were sold in 2019 with a market share of 16.1% from Jan. to Nov. The MPV G50 for family use has gained great popularity since it hit the market nine months ago. Its year-to-date sales in 2019 stood at 28,657 units, making it the fourth most popular model in the segment. Besides, the company’s pickups had annual sales of 26,495 units in 2019, which increased 17.54% over the year-ago period. The T60, the top-selling Chinese pickup in Australia, New Zealand and Chile, saw its total sales amount over 24,000 units.
Based on C2B intelligent custom mode, MAXUS launched the D90 Pro, a SUV model with a peak torque of 480N•m, at Auto Guangzhou 2019 and it was available to be preordered at the same time.
