Beijing (ZXZC)- Dongfeng Motor unveiled the eπ007 electric race car under its mainstream technology electric brand Dongfeng eπ. This marks the global debut of the first standardized race car for the eTouring Car World Cup (ETCR) series, positioning Dongfeng at the forefront of the new energy racing industry.

Historically, electric vehicle races based on mass-produced cars have struggled to take shape due to technical and cost constraints. The successful development of the eπ007 electric touring race car fills this gap and provides a Chinese solution for the upcoming top-tier ETCR series.

As the world’s first standardized car for ETCR, the eπ007 race car features an advanced 800V platform and a coaxial dual-motor rear-wheel drive system. Each motor delivers a peak power of 350 kW and a rated power of 200 kW. The car is equipped with a 79-kWh race-specific battery pack, supporting sprint races lasting over 20 minutes. Its overall performance is expected to reach GT4 levels, showcasing Dongfeng's deep exploration into electric racing.

In March, the mass-produced version of the eπ007, embodying Dongfeng's cutting-edge new energy vehicle technology, officially hit the market. Built on the custom-developed Dongfeng Quantum Architecture, it is designed to showcase the automaker’s electrification capabilities. Just two months later, the eπ007-ETCR race car made its successful debut, demonstrating Dongfeng's speed and strength in technology and innovation.
