Volvo Cars' all-new S60 hits market, starting at 286,900 yuan

Shanghai (ZXZC)-Volvo Cars' all-new S60 went on sales in China on December 12 with seven variants covering four types of powertrain, T3, T4, T5 and T8.  The price ranges from 286,900 yuan to 461,900 yuan ($41,096-66,163).

The medium-sized model, in the latest iconic design, boasts luxurious exterior design through employing many chrome-plated trims or sporty style by virtue of black elements. The Geely’s Sweden-based subsidiary has the S60 meet its global standard and the car measures 4,761mm long, 1,850mm wide and 1,437mm high with a wheelbase of 2,872mm, longer than the S60L.     

The S60 is outfitted with 12.3-inch full-LCD instrument, 8-inch center control display and Apple Carplay in-vehicle system. The highlight lies in its unique active safety features such as City Safety system for the series, lane departure warning and protecting system, lane keep assistance system and driver drowsiness warning system.

The S60 T3, T4 and T5, adopt engines that deliver a maximum output of 163 hp, 190hp, and 250hp with the peak torque of 265N·m, 300N·m and 350N·m respectively. The T8 powertrain, boasting plug-in hybrid system, works alongside a engine and a motor that comprehensively pump up to 390hp with the torque peaking to 640N·m.
