The 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom has been spied in China, revealing the interior and the dashboard. The rear bench is positioned very high so passengers can look out over the front row, checking where James is taking them. There are umbrellas in the rear doors again.

The 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom will debut sometime late this year and launch on international markets next year. It will be powered by a 6.6 liter twin-turbocharged V12 with an output of 571hp and 780nm, mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The dash is surprisingly low-tech, with a small screen atop the center stack and an old fashioned analogue instrument panel. The steering wheel is large and round.

No digital instruments for Rolls-Royce. Tradition and such I guess, which is nice, but it is also 2017 now and 2018 when this car comes out. By that time the panel will look hopelessly outdated.

It is a giant of a car again, standing here on ultra cool matte black wheels.

The grille got bigger again, flanked by laser-light headlights.

The rear end is more sculpted than before, with a sloping window and wide shoulders. Rear tire size of this test car is 285 40 R22.
