Gotion Japan teams up with Daiwa Energy, CO2OS on development of energy storage stations

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Chinese power battery supplier Gotion High-tech, through its subsidiary Gotion Japan, recently signed a collaborative agreement with Daiwa Energy and CO2OS in Tokyo, Japan, according to a press release from Gotion High-tech. This partnership is set to embark on the development and operational maintenance of energy storage stations across Japan.

Under the terms of the agreement, Gotion Japan, Daiwa Energy, and CO2OS will pool their resources to focus on the development and operational maintenance of energy storage stations within the Japanese market. Specifically, Gotion Japan will supply energy storage battery products and provide ongoing technical support for daily operations. Daiwa Energy will undertake project feasibility assessments and offer financial backing. Meanwhile, CO2OS will be responsible for the operational maintenance of the energy storage stations, in addition to offering other relevant technical support.

The collaboration is anticipated to introduce a total of 1GWh of energy storage battery products to the market over the next two years, catering to the demands of energy storage stations on the grid side and renewable energy generation side. Through this partnership, the trio aims to accelerate the introduction of renewable energy in Japan, thereby contributing to the global effort to overcome the challenges of energy storage and electricity supply.

Daiwa Energy, established in 2018, operates under the umbrella of Daiwa Securities Group—a company with a rich history exceeding 120 years and which ventured into renewable energy in 2010. CO2OS, a subsidiary of Daiwa Energy, specializes in the operational maintenance of photovoltaic power stations, particularly in the ultra-high and high voltage sectors, boasting extensive experience in the field.
