Lifan X80 SUV Launched On The Chinese Car Market
Lifan keeps us busy. Earlier on the launched their Ford S-Max MPV and today we have the launch on the large new Lifan X80 SUV. Biggest surprise is the price. We knew it was going to be cheap, but didn’t expect it to be so cheap; it seats 7, it is just under five meters long, and powered by a 2.0 turbo petrol. Price starts at a scarcely believable..
… 109.900 yuan! That’s $15.830. The base versions get a six speed manual. Price goes up to 149.900 yuan ($21.768) for the top-spec variant with a six-speed automatic. The 2.0 turbo has proper power: 191 horses and 286nm. Size: 4820/1930/1760, and wheelbase is 2790.
The interior is good enough for the money but it somehow looks a but outdated, due to the long time it took Lifan to bring the X80 to the market. There are a lot of dark plastics, sexed up with some fake wood and a bit of shine.
The panel however is all but outdated. Fully digital with razor sharp graphics.
The driver can change the shape of the dials, and one of the options is this ultra cool 3D-style.
8-inch touch screen. It comes with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, a reverse-camera, radio, a USB slot, and it can play MP5 video files for in those boring traffic jams.
Nice carpets. The X80 seats seven in a 2/3/2 setup.
Enough space for the legs.
Design of the D-pillar is interesting with a small window and a sharply cut shoulder line. Rear window is small as well, it does indeed need that rear-view camera.
Seven seats and a 2.0 turbo for just 109.900 yuan. the Lifan X80 has arrived.
