Beijing (ZXZC)- On March 5, Chery's high-end brand EXEED announced that its flagship SUV, the Yaoguang C-DM plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, will officially hit the market on March 11.

Touted as a "luxurious hybrid flagship SUV with quality comparable to a 400,000-yuan vehicle", the Yaoguang C-DM features an actual pre-sale price range of 172,800 yuan to 222,800 yuan. 

The EXEED Yaoguang C-DM promises a seamless, anxiety-free travel experience across all scenarios, thanks to the native technology empowerment of the M3X super hybrid platform. This platform, cultivated over 27 years of Chery's R&D intelligence, is meticulously designed to meet the demands of vehicle’s electrification. 

The hybrid system of the Yaoguang C-DM comprises the fifth-generation ACTECO 1.5TGDI efficient hybrid engine, a three-gear super hybrid DHT, hybrid-specific batteries, and a battery management system.

With an engine thermal efficiency exceeding 44.5%, the two-wheel-drive variant of the Yaoguang C-DM boasts dual motors, achieving a maximum total power output of 270 kW and a maximum total torque of 605 N·m. The four-wheel-drive variant, equipped with three motors, exceeds 400 kW in total power output and surpasses 900 N·m in total torque, accelerating from 0-100km/h in arounf four seconds. With a WLTC-rated maximum combined range of up to 1,343 kilometers, drivers can enjoy a sustained and stable driving experience with the Yaoguang C-DM.
