XPENG posts 58% YoY leap in Jan. 2024 deliveries
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Chinese new energy vehicle XPENG unveiled its latest monthly delivery performance, reporting a substantial 58% year-over-year leap with a total of 8,250 new vehicles delivered in January 2024.
At the start of the month, XPENG put the X9 seven-seater MPV, onto the market, promptly initiating deliveries to more than 100 cities across China. Throughout January, a total of 2,478 X9 units were delivered, with the X9 Max variant constituting nearly 70% of the total X9 orders.

The carmaker said the X9 has set itself apart with outstanding product competitiveness and state-of-the-art intelligent technology, purposefully crafted to address the varied requirements of families. Currently, XPENG is diligently enhancing production capabilities for the X9, responding to the heightened demand and ensuring the timely delivery of existing orders.
The company added its leadership in smart technology plays a pivotal role in attracting users. The XNGP Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) , now accessible to users in 243 cities nationwide, boasts the industry's first coverage of urban road networks with its production-ready software.
On January 30, XPENG held a New Year Intelligent Driving Activity launch event, where CEO He Xiaopeng announced ambitious plans for 2024. The XNGP is set to achieve nationwide point-to-point coverage, including alleyways, parking lots, and internal roads. On a global scale, XPENG plans to introduce high-speed NGP for overseas markets this year and initiate XNGP development in 2025.
