Shanghai (ZXZC)- On January 28, the strategic cooperation signing ceremony between Geely's Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group ("Farizon Auto") and China National Chemical Construction Investment Group ("CNCEC") took place in Beijing. The collaboration aims to advance the development of the methanol industry, methanol trade, promotion of new energy and methanol commercial vehicles, and joint construction of industrial parks.

This partnership seeks to expedite the establishment of a new pattern of energy development, enhance the resilience of the industrial supply chain, and strengthen self-control capabilities in the methanol sector, said Farizon Auto.

Built upon CNCEC's technological and resource advantages in infrastructure, ecological environmental protection, cold chain logistics, new energy, and chemicals, combined with Farizon Auto's leading position in the new energy commercial vehicle industry and advanced technological prowess in global methanol ecology, the collaboration will focuses on creating a green methanol industry ecosystem, encompassing production, storage, transportation, refueling, and trade of green methanol, forming a replicable and scalable commercial closed-loop.

In the realm of methanol trade, the collaboration aims to ensure a stable supply of methanol for methanol vehicles, thereby stabilizing the price of automotive methanol, ensuring its economic viability. Regarding the promotion of new energy and methanol commercial vehicles, the cooperation will involve services and promotion of products in operational scenarios such as cold chain logistics, steel trade logistics, hazardous chemical logistics, urban construction projects, and municipal sanitation. The shared goal is to collectively build a green and intelligent traffic ecological service.

CNCEC, a key player in China's chemical green development and industrial structural transformation, has established a comprehensive development system with "investment + capital + operation" as its core capabilities, focusing on the three roles of park investment and operation, urban comprehensive service provider, and ecological living industry developer.
