Shanghai (ZXZC)- Great Wall Motor (GWM) sold 13,680 pickups in September, 2019, a year on year growth of 2.6% and 98,270 units in total from Jan. to Sept, up by 0.5%, the company announced. Its monthly pickup sales was more than the aggregate of the top 2-5 pickup brands, Jiangling Motors, Zhengzhou Nissan, Jiangxi Isuzu, JAC motors, cementing its leading position in this segment. 

The figure from China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) showed that the Wingle 7, the main force of the company’s pickups, had a significant sales volume of 7,509 units in September. The cumulative sales in the first nine months amounted to 39,780 units. Its excellent performance in sales was mainly due to several household configurations and the initiative in the simultaneous launching of diesel and gasoline models, both of which were in compliance with China-Ⅵ emission standards.

On August 18, Great Wall’s new P Series Pickup was officially unveiled.

Recently, the Great Wall’s new P Series Passenger Pickup has hit the market. Equipped with L2 automatic driving technology, ACC, lane keeping assist, intelligent driving assistance and other advanced driver assist functions, it may realize aided driving, environment awareness, programmed decision-making and other functions. In addition, the price starting at RMB126,800 ($17,928) made it more competitive.

The company’s new P Series Commercial Pickup made its debut on September 5. Its abundant variants boast two/four-wheel drive with a long/short axle, powered by a diesel/gasoline engine matched with 6MT/8AT, meeting more demands of users.

The new P Series Off-road Pickup was launched at Alxa Festival 2019. The high-standard off-road vehicle features front, center and rear differential locks. In addition, it adopts tank-typed steering system. It is expected to push ahead with the development of Chinese off-road pickups with the wild style, strong performance and a high level of safety.
